Since the arrival of the Landlord, Alan, seven years ago, The Crown has undergone improvements which have earned its excellent reputation and ever-growing popularity in the area.
We serve five real ales from around the country at any one time with excellent homemade meals available all day, every day. We are proud of our reputation for high quality – good beer, fresh food and professional service, together with a warm welcome and a friendly environment where we are always happy to help and nothing is too much trouble. Please see our ‘Dining’ Page for a taste of our menu.
The pub is at the heart of the local community with our Monday Night Film Club, a thriving Tuesday quiz night, live music once a week (including open Mic nights once a month), mountain bike hire, regular cider, beer and wine festivals and a crib team – everything you would expect from a local and more. Check out our What’s On page for more information.
We have five spacious, recently refurbished, en-suite accommodation rooms which include television, tea/coffee making facilities, free WiFi and a full English breakfast.
The pub is just a short drive from the historic market towns of Marlborough and Hungerford, plus we’re only a stone’s throw from the ancient Avebury Rings, Silbury Hill and Stonehenge. The Crown is also an ideal base for walkers as it is situated by the famous Roman Ridgeway. We welcome all ramblers to join us for a cold pint or spot of lunch along the way! Dogs are very welcome in the pub.
Aldbourne is also easily accessible; only a brief drive from junctions 13 and 14 on the M4.
